If you hate your kids put them in public school.

My daughters hate me but not because I had them private schooled. They wore uniforms at Heritage Christian Academy.

I went to catholic high school. Totally in!!!!!!

My kids go to Catholic school so it's a must. They get really excited about "free dress" days though.

Yes on uniforms. A friend of ours said it best, it eliminates the daily discussions on what is acceptable wear, and for girls, what to wear.

I would have loved it. I hated suspenders and bibbed overalls.

My only child goes to private school with uniforms so I'm in. Although she hates chapel uniforms on Wednesday

Growing up I would have hated them. My kids have worn them for 10 years now and haven't heard a complaint. Except daughter has to make sure it fits perfectly. Makes it easy though.

Went to Catholic Elementary school. Gray pants White shirt. girls had that Red and dark colored checkered skirt with White shirt/blouse.
When I see what kids wear to school these days it would be nice to have a dress code that is somewhat uniform

Dress code at college I know no way but when we took our daughter to Chapman college orientation day in California there was a female student wearing see through shirt with no bra and their parents are right there with them and some of the other outfits were so skimpy

My kids are in a charter school and wear uniforms. I like it.

The bad schools need uniforms. Basically any big school district needs them.

I dated a girl in high school. nothing hotter than making out with a girl in a school uniform.

My kids attended private Christian schools.
They had a dress code.
Worked just fine.

Never had to wear one and I received a very good education in public schools.

My cousin from Peoria tells a story of a girl he knew in HS that went to a Catholic school. She loved to go to parties and hook up with guys while wearing her uniform skirt.

We've always had them in some form or fashion - just depends how "uniform" they have to be. I think it is nice for kids to just be a number - fewer prejudices, bullying, etc. I would think.

I think it's a great idea. It would solve several issues and it wouldn't create any unreasonable problems. Win win in my opinion.

Never wore won and neither did my kids, we received a pretty good education.Probably a good idea nowadays at least for the parents.
