I noticed that when it was trussed up it tail was thrashing around, so the hog was still alive. I wonder if it was still alive when the picture of him holding it by his ears was taken. If so, that a bad, bad man!

Lots of pork there. That hog would need a ginormous high protein food source 7/24 to put on weight like that, especially feral. IDK jus say’n.

Headline should have read "Animal control refuses to address feral hogs in the city".
These people will learn about SSS before too long.

They have him tied so I am sure that they are planning to sell the hog as the processor at Devine cannot take a carcass. Wild hogs are a problem that is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Hit that rascal running 60 in a Prius and it's all over..... Adios, gary

It's not so much the hogs moving into the city, it's that the city is moving into the hogs territory. Just last week people on facebook were freaking out because a mountain lion was seen around the Castroville area close to homes there. With the growth of the city, and the fact that most of the north side and north Bexar County is already expanded past the county line, the only areas left are south, west and east and subdivisions are continually springing up. What were once ranches where the landowners and hunters controlled the predators and hogs, are now owned by the out of town developers, and the hogs and other critters are taking over while subdivisions are moving in as fast as they can build.

I'm sure the golf course was happy to be rid of him. I'll bet that sucker was tearing up some fairways and greens at night.

I hunted on that JBSA (Medina Base) about 10 years ago, and yes there are hogs there and have been for a long, long, time, and they love golf courses. What people in that area don't realize is there are also mountain lions also that I had witnessed seeing personally. I had to laugh at the city slickers that are moving into homes 30 miles further west in Castroville, that are having a fit, and reporting on the local news stations, because of recent sightings close to their back yards near the Medina river.
