The blame game started this morning. Looks like Iran is last so far to be blamed.

Exactly. Let them kill each other to extinction and we take care of ourselves with our own resources. Sadly, corporations and their government influence won't allow to happen.

But did they specify which Monday? roflmao
You can't do a controlled shut down and start-up in 4 days let alone something like this.

We still import crude to provide our daily needs. We've yet to become energy independent unless you want to include Natural Gas but that's a long ways out due to lack of infrastructure.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Yep and Exporting Oil at the same time. Supporting Rogue Regimes around the world. United States Ranked # 4 with Exporting 3,770,000 barrels a day and that was in 2018. A heck of a lot more now .

Crude oil is not all created equal. The U.S. continues to import and export crude oil because the viscosity of oil (measured by its API gravity) being light or heavy and its sulfur content being low (sweet) or high (sour) largely determine the processes needed to refine it into fuel and other products

News said expect a big jump at the pumps Monday. Around here they usually raise it Tuesday afternoon even if nothing has happened! I topped off on the way to the lake this morning.

This article mentions small drones, possibly hobby drones. I just assumed that if drones were used that the drones were at the smallest, something like a small plane that dropped bombs and went home. Were these some kind of small hobby "kamikaze" drones?

The radio mentioned this morning that they were kamikaze types with a small explosive attached to them. They basically crashed into the site and detonated.

I thought this was an interesting stat...

In 2018, the United States exported about 7.59 MMb/d of petroleum to 190 countries and 4 U.S. territories, of which about 26% was crude oil and 74% was non-crude oil petroleum. Our exports are more product than crude apparently.

These are always fun, I'll start! Saudi's have been pretty unhappy with lower oil prices everybody knows that. A little unrest here a little conflict there and the tension alone will kick up prices. So how would a few strategic strikes reducing their own production benefit them? Let's just say it's a good way to dump any surplus at a premium. If they're wanting to cut production as they said then they must be running out of storage facilities just like we are here in the US. Selectively bomb your own chit, take advantage of price jumps and dump your surplus then fix your chit and ride the price jump for awhile. I'd probably turn to the east and pray like hell that the US steps in and keep the conflict going. 100 dollar oil has a nice ring to it in any language.
