Has anyone seen teal in or around Haskell yet? Trying to see if it's worthwhile to to make it out there this weekend.

On that topic, has anyone seen more dove coming in that area yet? I know there's been no change in the weather whatsoever, but hopeful that some of the northern birds have started migrating south.

I've had two groups of 200+ on two different large private lakes. I'm in Taylor county

Per TPWD's report the big Teal migration hasn't occured yet. The article said the full moon falls on this Friday and that will trigger mass migration.

From reports I've read on here and other forums, some folks are seeing them now and some aren't.

The biggest folks reporting on them in the area are from the valley, to Eagle lake area, and to Houston area.

I saw several nice groups between Rotan and Hamlin three weeks ago.

Hopefully TPWD is correct on this one. They also predicted an excellent dove season, which just hasn't panned out yet with the hot weather and no fronts.

Not one single teal flying in Haskell this morning. Dove are almost nonexistent, as well. Wasted weekend trip.

While we didn't see any teal, three of us limited on dove in Haskell this afternoon in 1.5hrs. There were a large amount of birds in our area, and judging by the size, they were not from up north.
