I pronounced Mexia the way its spelled when I first moved to Texas. Someone corrected me and pronounced it Meheir dragging out the R. How do you guys pronounce Mexia?  Muh hay uh

I still have the PLAYBOY issue that featured Anna. The only one I have. Keep it in the “important documents “ file in the file cabinet.

i lived in mexia in the late 70's ..worked at brookshires..locals pronounce it ma hayer....got married in decatur spent honeymoon in mexia..marriage didnt work out too well..figures
