I was really hoping to push this last set of tires to 100k miles but came up a little short at just over 96k. I got 95k out of my first set and they were at 4-5/32nds. My second set was still at 8/32nds but my last trip to the lease I ended up separating the tread edge on one. On to my 3rd set grin hopefully the KO2’s last just as long.

Definitely got your money on that set. Looks like your rubber vulcanized.

LOL. Yeah they were 5 years old and the rubber was really hard and I knew I was pushing the limits.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting.......holy kaka.....What a Ride!

I’ve had two sets of the ko2 now. First set was crap and got them to basically pay for the second set. They must have changed something in the compound because the second set did much better. Only got about 25k out of the first. Second set had over 50k when I traded the truck.

Love the KO2’s. Ended up switching to a Nitto Ridge Grappler and hope it wasn’t a mistake. They ride much better on the road, I hope that translate into more flat tires in the mesquites

After 7 sets went from the KO and KO2s to the Cooper Discover STMaxx. Much better ride. 3 flats on the Coopers. Back to the BFGs now.

glad you are happy with them ... also glad to know 1/2 ton can get some miles on them, my son's 3/4 ton Cummins used to go thru a set every 18-24k miles

I was getting 55-60,000 on my sets on my Cummins. He must not be rotating them

I was rotating them, but also liked hitting up the local drag strip lol. That little cummins would boogie!

On the flipside, they would get you stuck in wet grass on a 2wd truck.

I find if your comparing like kinds of tires across different manufacturers that you get similar results with similar tires. Damn near any tire will get stuck on wet grass in a heavy fronted light azzed 2wd pickup, especially if there is any elevation your climbing.

I got 70,000 miles on the stock goodyear P tires that came on my ram 1500. I could have easily gotten another 20k out of them, but found too good a deal on some cooper A/T's E range to pass it up.

I had a set of Cooper STP on a 2wd long bed cummins (other was a shortbed) and they surprisingly did better offroad than the BFG a/t, on a 2wd truck.

Yeah but offroad performance in a 2wd diesel is a joke to begin with. I don't know how many times iver pulled our 2wd Duramax out of sand mud and yes wet grass. It had a locker and a variety of A/T's on it in its day.

I dont disagree with you on the offroad performance, or lack there-of, but it is a good test of different tires. I finally stuck with the Cooper's on my last truck. On my 4th set of Toyos on my current truck and may switch to Coopers for the next set since there's been a new tire come out i didnt see when i picked up my current toyos.
