Been reading that NASCAR considers our bolt guns as Sniper Rifles. I hope it isn't true.

Not sure why that definition makes any difference, people hunt with sniper rifles all day, and snipers hunt people with their rifles every day, doesn't mean I am going to go hunt people with my rifle.

It doesn't matter what he calls himself, its what Lafawndah thinks of him.

Having a Sniper rifle, doesn't make a person a Sniper.

Having a Sniper scope, doesn't make a person a Sniper.

You have to have Sniper-ry skillz to be a Sniper.

Sounds like NASCAR bowing down to their sponsors and not following their fans beliefs.

Long ago I watched that sport...would never have dreamed they'd take this stance.

So what makes a rifle a “sniper rifle”?

Didn't they have an NRA car running at one time? Or am I thinking of something else? Of course they ditched the "Winston" in Winston Cup, so they have a history.

Next thing they will do is endorse beto as President. nascar has been going down hill and is picking up speed.

How many NASCAR fans will boycott the sport? Not many.

My guess is "a bolt action rifle, chambered in a caliber that has ballistics to fight wind drift, and hit a target downrange with consistency, and enough energy to expand a bullet and penetrate far enough to reach vital organs. This rifle should have a solid and stable stock, that is heavy enough to mitigate some recoil, but light enough to be carried easily, and a quality scope with enough magnification to clearly see your target" Basically, the same definition of what makes a good hunting rifle.

Just one more reason to hate nascar. Seriously, about as interesting as soccer.
