Does anyone know anybody that manufactures the concrete shelters? I have searched all over the internet and facebook and have only found folks that will sell you a shelter with installation, and the prices are all over the place. I have seen some septic tank mfgs. in the past that had shelters available but they no longer make them. Im just wanting a price on the shelter itself.

The problem you'll run into is insurance & FEMA standards now state they must be built to 'code' & installed by certified installers to qualify for certain storm F ratings.

Been several failures of homeowner / LO installed storm shelters.

About 2 miles down the road from our place in Blanco county a neighbor installed his own, a small tornado came through & took the top off threw it through the garage door smashing a pickup & car and damaged one brick exterior wall.
They were in bed no injuries at all / not in the shelter.
Besides minor roof & tree damage, all major damage was found to be caused by improper storm shelter installation.

Had they been in the shelter things wouldn't have turn out as good as it did, the remaining base was filled about 2' - 2.5' with dirt & rock.

My brother-in-law owns US Storm Shelters out of Decatur. Great guy. Give him a call and tell him Dave sent you. He'll fix you up.

Fun Fact: There are several business here in Alabama that install them. They say along the lines like, "Texas Tech Designed" or Texas Tech Approved".
