This guy did a lot for quail hunting in Texas--bankrolled a lot of research. (He also irrigated a lot of the quail pastures on his ranch so he would have birds in drought years.)

I hunted his ranch years ago.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I read an article about him called "The man who could make it rain". It explained how he groomed his ranch with irrigation etc.

If tomorrow I dream up a new and highly desirable gadget and become fabulously wealthy I want to grow up to be T. Boone. RIP fellow quail hunter!
And why, today, remember misses?
