I have a lake I am going to hunt and the rules say “No. 2 shot maxim”. Guessing they miss spelled maximum. So 7 1/2 shot is legal since it is smaller the no 2 right.

Seems like 2 shot would be to big on teal

By maximum, they must mean BB weight, so number 2 or higher. lol.

I use #4 on everything, and drop canadas like rock with it as well.

Yes, it seems as though you are correct. Don’t know that I’d recommend 71/2 for teal though.

I second this. The velocity is what's important. I destroyed a few teal with #4 shot this past weekend. I wouldn't recommended Using anything bigger unless you don't plan on eating the bird. Teal aren't much bigger then a dove.

#6 for teal. I've tried to use them on big ducks due to how they hammer teal and they just don't have enough Ke, I got more cripples and found more pellets in the meat.

2 3/4 6’s for a teal shoot...I’ve never had to shoot teal past 25 yards. Other than that, I’m using 3” 1-1/4oz #4’s heavy metal for ducks and geese... high brass lead on cranes.
