I searched around and didn't find anything.

.350 Legend is a new cartridge from Winchester. Functions in the AR15 also mad for those states that only allow rifles in pistol calibers for deer season.

My son picked one up a couple months ago when he came back from deployment.

Shot his first hog with it tonight.

He hit it too far back (damn army training center of mass) but we still found it about 35 yards away.

Pretty impressive round but damn is it loud when he shoots.

Sounds like more R&D on pigs is required before a conclusion can be reached..

That's the plan. We are down here for the week.

No doubt. But the .35 Whelan doesn't fit in an AR15.

Pretty sure both of you meant to say .35 'Whelen'

About like a 357 Maximum handgun round just rimless so it will function in an AR. The mad Max is a good pig killer so would expect the same from the new kid.

Heck the 357 Mag in a Marlin 1894 with a 16 inch barrel has been good, with 180gr bullets it has been very good.

It is about 200 fps faster than the Max . Two friends and I have killed over 40 pigs with our AR-15's and bolt rifles over the last 3 years with the [now know as ] 350 Legend . We have killed pigs up to 250 + lbs with ours . The 180 is the best pig load , but the 200 does well at 200 yards . A friend just got 4 at up to 200 yards with his last Friday . I have shot clean through pigs up to 180 lbs with mine . It is a very good pig killer out to 200 yards .

Where are you getting 200 gr loads?

Are they sub sonic?

I load them . I have been loading them for over 3 years . They can be sub sonic if I load them that way . The best bullet for sub sonic is the Hornady 180 XTP bullet , it expands the best at low velocity .
