Those tacos were greasy in 1973 too but we loved 'em.

High school 1969. Local JIB was across the street from a gas station I worked. Payday was shrimp basket or Jumbo Jack. Wed and thurs was tacos. Fried lettuce and all.

C’mon....be fair to the great Jack taco....they put the lettuce , cheese and hot sauce after they fried the shell and mystery meat!

Knew a kid that cooked tacos. He dropped complete in the fryer. New guys had two jobs, frying tacos and trash detail.

Station closed at 10 PM. We used go across street and drink beer on the roof after work on Saturday nights.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

That would be queso fresco cheese sir and a jalapeño crema sauce I make.

All this taco talk got me going....now I still love the JIB taco, but went old school tonight...

Old El Paso...all ingredients from Target. Except the salsa....which is Trader Joe’s, and outstanding.

Pretty gosh danged spiffy!

I had the Tuesday Tacos at the KnoX City Mex place for lunch. I eat there at least three times a month and it was the worst thing I’ve had yet. The gal that owns the place isn’t there much anymore and I’m afraid that place will close down with almost no competition. It’s a shame. KnoX City used to have one of the best steak houses anywhere before oil prices went down.

Don’t remember if these were Southwestern Chicken or the Pork Poblano tacos. Either one had lime cream and pickled jalapeños and we’re freakin amazing. Compliments to “Hello Fresh” as I’m sure that’s how Kyle is Bossin’ it up

On Sundays in Rhome, Tx., my Dad would send my older brother and me on the long 13 mile journey to Decatur JIB to order 50 tacos, which we’d ALL eat on all day long and watch football together. The JIB taco, though greasy and sometimes having a metallic taste will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart. I’d give certain body parts I’m quite fond of to go back and appreciate those days more.

Love ya Paw!
