Are the alfa .22 caliber blank gun any louder than a .22 revoler loaded with the .22 blanks? Any input or advice is appreciated.

No, they're not and the alfa guns i've been around have all ended up being trashed. I don't think they're very good guns for the price. If you have a .22 revolver, go to lowes or home depot and get the yellow coated Ram Shots. And some ear plugs. If you're looking for a new sound simulator, get you a thunder launcher mini boom gun. They're plenty loud, more reliable and safer and easier to use than both of the others. https://www.thunderequipment.com/products/miniboomgun.phpI love mine.

We use either green crimped or yellow. The green is easier to eject. In the long run, the boom gun is cheaper to operate. Robby

Thank you for the input. I thought I could get some responses before I went and spent 200 dollars.

I've had an alfa for about 4 years now and bought it used. Has worked flawlessly.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

One of the benefits of using a blank pistol over an actual pistol with blanks is the blank pistol is not, and never could be, a firearm. May help evade legal or regulatory entanglements.

Same here. Happy with mine. No problems. But mine has been used through training one dog and used at hunt tests, not multiple dogs over years. I probably would want something better made if I was in the business.

I use Blanks in a 22 revolver. Followed the advice and bought a 22 revolver and some Ramset caps. The yellow caps sound like a cannon. The green caps may be just about right.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!
