It seems every one of the Democrat presidential contenders wants some form of a "common sense" gun reform as part of his or her platform. ("Gun Reform" is viewed as easier to sell than gun control.)

So here's a proposal they can all get behind.

For the next five years BAN any and all use of guns in movies and TV shows. No shoot-um-up scenes. No cars shot up with fifteen hundred bullet holes followed by an explosion. No bodies lying all over the ground.

It's possible that constant exposure to violent gun scenes in movies and on TV may be serving as an example or motivator to the perpetrators of mass shootings as well as the perpetrators of common everyday shootings in places like Chicago and Detroit.

Surely the candidates and their Hollywood supporters can get behind such a common sense gun reform program. Let's give it a try. If shootings haven't declined by the end of the five years we can then explore other common sense gun reform options.

If you can't laugh at yourself, give me a call. I'll gladly laugh at you.

"I keep trying to see Nancy Pelosi's and Chuck Schumer's point of view,
but I can't seem to get my head that far up my [censored]." Senator John Kennedy, Louisiana

Sounds like you are trying to write a fairytale.

Amen

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

I would be all in on the video games.

I'm all for it.
we had to innovate our own entertainment when us "olds" grew up, expended our energy interacting with others while sometimes doing incredibly stupid stuff. kids now are like their parents, enthralled by their phone, faces glued to them at every available moment.
back then we fought and wupped up on each other fairly frequently, made friends with them soon after in most cases.
the bulk of our problem with the shootings is the frustration of reality and a mental problem combined in someone that has no social skills. jmo

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
