Needing to replace my feeder batteries and saw this https://www.dollargeneral.com/dg-ho...ing+-+SC_General_Mobile&gclsrc=aw.ds

I know it says lantern battery, but would it have enough juice to spin a normal feeder?

Yes... It will spin the motor but not very hard compared to a gel-cell battery.

My FIL replaced our feeder batteries with these this summer and within a month I had to replace them again, I have used them in the past and had better luck so I figure it was a bad or old batch of batteries. Not sure if they have a manufacture date but I would check before purchasing.

dont scrimp on the feeder unit batterys,etc... its best to put a solar panel with a recargebale batter the higher the amp per hour the better...make sure you keep all wiring enclosed where pesky coons cant chew them in two
