The best one I went to was the ‘79 Cotton Bowl - Houston/Notre Dame.
First, we could barely get there after the ice storm on New Years Eve. I’d say the Cotton Bowl was less than half full...20 something degrees.
Notre Dame down 34-12 with 7 minutes left...wins 35-34 I’m pretty sure that is the same one my father an I went to. I would have been almost 10 and all I can remember is that our seats were in the east end zone behind the goal post covered in ice and that the stadium was almost empty. I also remember that hot chocolate is as my friend, boy and as it COLD! Had to be...the only other one I remember was SMU/Pitt in either 83 or 84....was cold but not like 79...there was ice everywhere, including the seats and goalposts. The amount of trees it took down in Dallas the night before was epic. By my estimation, there couldn't have been more than 15,000 people at the beginning, and by the time it was 34-12, had to be under 5000. But they sold hot Dr. Pepper!

The iron bowl a few years ago was pretty entertaining when Auburn beat Alabama with the missed field goal returned for a touchdown.

I had just graduated and was still living in Lubbock. It's was unbelievable. I just wish we could have beat OU and went to the NC.

How about the '86 Cotton Bowl? The Aggies stopped Bo Jackson 4 straight times from the 6 yard line.

Baylor vs TCU 2014 Y'all had a good against us a few years ago. Game winning TD hit Tech defenseman and landed miraculiusly in the TCU receivers arms to win the game. I had just finished my dove limit and sped back to camp to listen to that.

Miami vs Penn State.
I like the Penn State white out night games. mid 80s sometime when Miami upset Nebraska in the National Championship by 1 point after coming in double digit dogs.
That's the best game for me, down by 1 if Nebraska would've kicked the extra point they would've tied and probably gotten at least a share of the national title, but Osborne went for 2 to win outright and didn't make it.
