I don’t believe that is true. I can’t remember where I saw it but I believe HIPPA specifically stops this from happening.

I've prosecuted people for narcotics diversion offenses and I know the limitations of the records involved, in respect to what the government at any level, has access to. Buzz is way overestimating the efficiency of government.

HIPPA does NOT prevent the govt or other health organizations from accessing your records. It prevents other regular folks from accessing your records, and prevents the doctor from discussing your health with other regular folks, but it is specific if the communication is between health professionals they can talk all they want. Also does not prevent info passed to insurance companies.

I have no doubt the govt will start scrubbing data for this kind of thing, but there is no real way for them to do this right now unless they are already tracking our medical records or prescription drug activity.

Oh they know if they want to know........that's easy to get that info. When youre forced to buy insurance for that gun very soon, guess who will have a higher premium or cant get insurance????? The one on pills etc.....and the one who buys too much booze.
