Today I changed the oil/filter, reverse oil, lower unit grease and shot some nipples with grease. Checked over motor for any loose nuts and bolts. Trailer bearings needed some grease. I have a fuel filter coming and will pop that on when it gets here. She fires up fine so I assume the spark plugs are good. Need to check valve lashes.....

so what else do yall do to ready your rigs for a long season?

Sounds similar to those "guys" always driving all over the place to find non ethanol gas to put in their mud motors.
Do you think your lawnmower needs non ethanol gas and a water fuel separator too?

Adjust what you want or not, does not matter to me but I have a friend that blew a new motor with 30 hours on it for not checking his valve lash after 10 hours like he was supposed to, Briggs quality control is not always the best..

X2. Mine was over .020 when checked at 10 hrs. Takes all of 20 min to check, why not do it once a year.
Change the oil, grease lower, run seafoam. Good to go.

Yes. All small engines should run non ethanol, you don’t need fuel separator if you do.

Bucky's has non ethanol fuel, just an FYI

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

I got a 15 year old Toro that would say otherwise. grin

If my boat is gonna sit for a while, I run all the gas out of it first. So, I do kinda get it.
