Quote
BENTONVILLE, AR—In a bold move intended to curb the thousands of deaths from vehicles each and every day, Walmart has decided to stop selling auto parts, sources confirmed Tuesday.

According to shocking reports, people have purchased car parts at Walmart and then those cars have been involved in accidents, proving a direct correlation between selling auto parts and causing deaths.

"We can no longer be complicit in an industry that kills over 3,000 people a day," said a spokesperson for Walmart. "Every time we sell a muffler, steering wheel cover, or flame decal, we are potentially causing the death of a person, and we cannot support that any longer."

"It's clear that bad drivers and poor road conditions don't cause vehicular deaths---cars do."

Walmart executives said they are beating themselves with a stick to atone for the deaths they've already caused.

"Our consciences will only be clean when we've been mercilessly beaten once for each of the millions of deaths that have been caused by automobiles since Walmart began selling auto parts," said one executive before solemnly beginning to beat himself with a baseball bat.

Was driving by one of our local Walmart stores after lunch and dropped in to see if they had marked down their ammunition or just pulled it. Looking at the shelves it looked like business as usual. I asked the clerk about it and he said as far as he knew nothing had changed.

That clerk is like the Private in the Army, he will be the last know. On the other hand the manager probably already knows, but he thinks until I hear that it officially it is business as usual.

I don't believe they are pulling it. Just not restocking.

But what if some of that leftover stock they're selling is used in a crime? Oh the horror! We're about due for a .38 Special wielding mass murderer.

The media would just report it as a fully semiautomatic revolver. slinger

That would be a fully semiautomatic revolver with a 30 round clip firmly in place. . .

Pretty sure us 40 year olds changed it way before millennials. We were smart and used the internet to do business. Amazon started in early 2000s. Mils are just a byproduct of our success. Should have bought stock then. Loved flipping through those BEST and Sears catalogs at my grandparents house in the 80s though.

Since Sam died Walmart has been coming apart, the left already hates them because they represent capitalism and sell to those smelly Walmart people and now they're running off the smelly ones. Maybe it will bring back a few honest to God gun shops again, I sure miss them.

The best gun shop in the small town where I spent much of my youth was a pawn shop. IMO, pawn shops continue to be a good place to buy both new and used firearms.

Walmart is not coming apart, Walmart is growing bigger every day, they have more influence on America's spending habits than any other company.

Walmart will still be making a profit after Hell freezes over. Did they bow to political correctness? I don't think so, their ammo sales is only drop in the ocean to the over all sales. It was a Public Relations move, it shows compassion for their customers as they fleece them with cheap prices. If ammo sales would have affected their profit margin, then they might not have done this move. But groceries and Chinese junk is the bread and butter on the profit scale.

Once the uproar slows down Walmart will add back the ammo in select stores, especially in rural areas where the people don't give a flip. There will be no announcement, the ammo will slowly be restocked and nobody will notice it. They pulled this same stunt a few years ago with guns. Then it was back to business as usual...

They probably make 100x's on oil changes than ammo sales. Knee jerk thing that surprisingly didn't happen when they removed ar's.

Probably say it has a high capacity swing out rotating magazine. Heaven forbid they see one that uses Moon Clips.

The dreaded high speed rotary magazine. There is no known defense.

You're thinking of Academy. I think they stored them under the counter for a while. Walmart stopped selling so-called assault rifles several years ago and they wont be bringing them back. I doubt handgun ammo will be coming back either.
