To be fair, if everyone followed the law the game warden notes threads would be pretty boring.

I have always done my best to follow the laws. With the advent of the show Lone Star Law, I find myself checking regulations im not as familiar with such as coastal size/bag limits and I re-check all my county regs for seasons limits etc... I do not care to be a star on TV

Lone Star law definitely encouraged to read the manual front to back, Game Warden Boone mentioned on the show its the easiest thing you can do to avoid a citation, thought it was good advice for a new hunter

Definitely good to read front to back, and it doesn't matter if you are a new hunter or an old timer. A lot of species are receiving long overdue attention and the respect they deserve, which is reflected in the regs.

Watching that show, some of those getting a ticket also need a good slap upside the head!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I think they should have a special "East Texas" edition with pop-up pictures and simpler wording. It might actually get read then.

You can't fix stupid or the ones who know better and do it anyways for their own selfish reasons  Thanks for sharing! Hopefully the ones who do not know and care will brush up on what they are hunting

I can see the pop up pictures working (maybe). You would know....when you heard someone squeal with delight. Never get to the literature part...I don't imagine.  Better to just go with something shiny.
