I have a DPMS .223 caliber I bought for my dad about 18 months ago. I shot it one time maybe 29 rounds before giving it to him. He never got to shoot it because of an illness and passed away about 2 months ago. It’s been sitting in his closet every since . It has a red dot scope on it and is in perfect shape. Where in the Houston area might be a good place to sell it and get a decent price back? Since my dad never used it there is no sentimental value and I don’t need this gun. Any suggestions on selling one and getting a fair price ?

Scott, post it here with pictures, There are allot of THF Members in the Houston area who could help. You wont get near any "good price" from any dealers,
Sell it to someone you know and trust. This is the MAJOR loophole the antis are attacking.
DON'T let it get into the "wrong" hands.

AR market is down right now, will be hard to get anything close to what you invested. If in a hurry, take what you can get. Otherwise, wait for a Democrat friendly election..then sell for 3X what you paid.

Idk what the scope is worth, but probably $500 for the gun. A new Oracle is $500, your gun looks a lot like an oracle but it has a free float quad rail. So that and being used I think around five hundred would be fair. Also that assumes that is an actual free float tube and not one of the snap together quad rail forends
