Those of you who've been to or through Big Spring especially going nth to sth have seen our little old town lake called Comanche Trial Lake. I've fished the lake since I was a kid as have many thousands of kids after me. As long as I can remember this lake has never went dry, low as hell but never dry. Always knew there were some big ones in it, caught a few channels over five lbs and some pretty nice bass. There's been a ton of equipment yanked off the banks never to be seen again, that lake has ate a ton of Zebco's. One of them rod stealing critters was caught yesterday. I haven't heard if it was weighed but I do know it was released. The legend continues! Congratulations J.R. Martinez!

This was his comment about the release.

Its back in the water where it belongs. But if I catch it again I'ma cook it. Lol.

I have found out that he bottomed out the 25 lb scales they had, if somebody said 30 lbs I wouldn't argue with them.

Awesome channel cat! It's pushing 30, for sure. State record is only like., 35 or 36 pounds. There may be a record book catfish in there? He say what bait he was using?

Mmmm Hmmm
