I’m lucky enough to have both of my baby boomer parents still alive. Dad is 74 and mom is 68. Ive wondered which one will be worse to go first. Mom will just be a nice old lady I have to take care of all the time. I know dad will drag up some 50 year old gal I probably won’t care for. What’s worse? I hope they go at the same time when they’re very old. I’m betting on mom though, Dad’s 6’6” and 300 lbs. you don’t see many men that big in their 90’s.

Scalebuster, that is the age that my parents died just reversed. Mom was taken care of by my brother and me and our wives. An unanswered phone call required a quick trip to check on her. Every Sunday was groceries, fill her pill taker reminder box and lunch with her. Hope your parents keep going for many more years. Enjoy all of the time with them you can as you will miss them when they are gone.

I know dad will drag up some 50 year old gal I probably won’t care for. Just bought a ranch. Previous owner became a widower. 'Moved in a much younger chain smoker. We had to have the carpet pulled and the entire place repainted. The kids had to buy her a trailer and a lot to park it on to make her go away when he passed. Lonelines, especially with a man, is a helluva thing and can really screw up your kids' lives! I almost made a couple of real big mistakes the short time I was single, and I was in my thirties. I finally asked myself if I'd take her home to meet Mom, and the answer was "Ahh, HELL no!"  Proceed cautiously.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
