You don't need camo. Muted greens and tans are fine. I'm convinced that it's not the pattern, but the finish of the fabric that alerts game. Plain ol' faded cotton is your friend. up

True. And your movement is your own worst enemy. You could stand out in a field buck naked and not move and everything would be fine, but as soon as you move all bets are off.

All the other advice in this thread is good, but if you're going to wear a camo pattern, ASAT is an excellent choice, especially for the type of terrain you'll be in. You can get cotton-based items directly from ASAT, or look around on forums such as these for some used First Lite merino wool (First Lite stopped licensing the ASAT pattern, but there's some good stuff still out there; I have a lot I accumulated over these years in this way that I use for bow hunting).

I hope to go on a pronghorn hunt some day. Good hunting!

Where you are hunting, everything is going to be an even brown. Plain brown Carharts are perfect camo.

Game guard. Remember pronghorn have 8x binos for eyes. They can pick out more than movement.

Just hunted in NM last month and would agree with these suggestions. I think ASAT will work as well as anything else. Movement and being out of place will get you noticed VERY fast. Where I hunted there wasn't hardly a plant taller than 15". Even sitting, let alone standing, will get you spotted in a hurry. Be ready to crawl, be ready to shoot a long way. Good luck!

Any camo pattern is acceptable, and you have to look the part especially when you go into town.
Most of the best camo patterns are worn by hunters hunting out of box blinds.....Go figure?

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
