I looked it up. The lemon law also applies to used cars if,

"But there is one major exception: if the owner has received an express written warranty along with the used vehicle, then federal lemon law will likely cover the used car."

They told me the injectors can sometimes be bad when they are new. After they replaced all 8 injectors, two of them still did not immediately work. They changed the two and they still did not work so they said the ECM needed to be changed and that did not work. It’s currentl in the shop from that attempted fix.

My thought too. I have never had problems with my diesels so have never been back to a dealer with them. I have heard from several though that most dealers do not have a good diesel tech, maybe search around and find one.

Seems they don't know or understand how to use their IDS, or are giving you very little info.

They should be able to tell you what DTC's lead them to their diagnosis, then there are step by step 'tests' to eliminate possible causes.

Did they program / enter the IQA code for each of the new injectors?

Sounds like they aren't following Fords own diagnostic procedures and throwing parts at it.

I'd be arranging a sit down with the dealers service manager, general manager & owner or owners rep.

If all this is being caused by electrical faults ( false DTC's) or (unable to properly diagnose using IDS) and not actual hard parts failure, it is in the various wiring harnesses.

I just replaced the def sensor and had the dealership do it for me. There were a lot of step by step instructions on youtube to do the repair but I am limited in my tools and I just filled the def tank hammer

The new update is the truck runs fine until the engine reaches it’s driving temperature and then it send out white smoke and runs like crap. They are contacting a new ford engineer since this one can’t figure it out.

Where are you located? I've got a diesel mechanic at a Ford dealership that I'd be shocked if he can't figure it out. He's in the DFW area though, if you're ready to try someone else shoot me a PM and I'll hook the two of you up.

Very frustrating and sorry you are dealing with it.

first off, I would not be driving a Ford Fiesta while making payments on a F250 ... you bought the F250 for a reason and should have something similar for you to drive ... but that's just my thinking.

that would be very frustrating, overly frustrating as a matter of fact. I hope they get it sorted out quickly and get you your truck back soon.

Thanks JUDD, I’ll contact you if they don’t get it fixed. And the Ford Fiesta does suck, but that is all they said they had. I’m currently building a house and you should had seen that fiesta loaded down with electrical supply the other day lol. I looked like Sanford and son
