How does this make the news in Dallas? Isn’t that just another day of school?
They postponed the fight? Did I hear that correctly? Points to the kids for their planning skills, if so.
What does that reporter use to polish that head of his? Very impressive shine.

Beav you're a ray of sunshine. I found it laughable people wanting free education, the government/state and tax payers respond by building nice schools with incredible sport venues. Kids go to them school to behave like azzholes not even great full for what we build for them, and teachers flooding them kiddos with extra credits cause they want to keep their jobs and the school want to keep their high ratings to attract more property taxes. Its a total scam. #spoiled #badparenting Having said that, i feel for DeSoto ISD teachers. They live in a world of high stress

As someone who was in education for 31 years I know a bit about education. Education went the way of government. Most people don’t really want to be bothered with the details. Elect officials and let them decide how the government operates while I focus on ME. We see how that has worked out. Same with education. Send kids off to school and let them handle the details. Combine that with the participation award mentality and parents not parenting, we now we see what that got us. So now we complain. That with education changing its focus from actually educating kids to building and building. Focusing on extra curricular. You would be amazed how much is spent on EC. The return on investment is a laugh.
So now we have a government that cannot govern. We have an education system that is not educating.
This is the extremely short version of what went wrong. But believe me education is way off the rails today. As is our government.

Why in the world would a post about taxes need to be in the bunker?

Elect officials and let them decide how the government operates while I focus on ME. We see how that has worked out. Same with education. Send kids off to school and let them handle the details. Combine that with the participation award mentality and parents not parenting, we now we see what that got us. So now we complain. That with education changing its focus from actually educating kids to building and building. Focusing on extra curricular. You would be amazed how much is spent on EC. The return on investment is a laugh.
So now we have a government that cannot govern. We have an education system that is not educating.
This is the extremely short version of what went wrong. But believe me education is way off the rails today. As is our government.
That’s a darn good summation.

I can’t image why parents would want vouchers proportional to atleast their yearly school tax to send their kids to private schools with zero tolerance policies

Would, why would you want to HAVE to send your kids to Desoto, I get not ever one can afford to move into a top tier school district but they should atleast have a better say on how their school tax money is spent in reference to those children.

How about, IF your kid gets in trouble in school Your Taxes Go Up another few percentage points for that whole year.. Lets see how fast these So Called Parents reel them brats in and help out these teachers..

If you don't own a home your license plates are suspended and your drivers license too.. NORM for President 2024
