That is a slick rig!

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Yep, that is factory wood. It's Circassian Walnut that Ruger used on this Lightweight Deluxe version for Talo about 10 years ago, limited run of 200, all in .308

I keep the Remy 700 in my tagline, in the blind mainly for Deer season and/or other marksmanship opportunities that may arise.

For as slender as the barrel is and light weight rifle it shoots pretty dang good, and the pictures really do not do justice to the stock.

Nobody uses the Mauser that Grandpappy brought back from the War?

I am not sure what I am going to hunt with this year. Last few years I've hunted with a pieced together 257 Wby, Mauser action with a SS Hart barrel in a Hogue Stock. Not much to look at but its a nail driver.

I bought a 325 WSM the other day, haven't bought a scope for it yet but, I wish I would have bought a 270 WSM. I want to get all the WSM cal's, I already have a 300 WSM.

I may buy Winchester XPR or a Rem 700 SS in 270 WSM if I can get rigged up before season. I takes me forever to get guns rigged up, I have to many irons in the fire. Bass fishing, 4x4's deer lease work and oh yeah........my job!!!

I've built no telling how many custom rifles, Used to make/dabble in stock making, but got away from it. I no doubt like nice rifles, but some of my best shooting rifles have been put together with take off barrels etc.

I have fun putting guns together with stuff I have laying around or what my gunsmith buddy gives me and make them shot.

Thanks, Billy
