I have 445k on my 99 7.3 with no major issues. Oil change every 5k. Bought it new. Mostly been driven for long trips. Used to drive from Houston to Austin and San Antnio every weekend for work for a few years. Now mostly for deer lease, 401 miles from my house to the gate. It's more comfortable to drive than my newer trucks. I think I'm going to use it forever.

It’s a mud tire, it’s going to hum. They should be rotated and balanced every 3,000 miles. Other less aggressive tires can go to 5,000.

North of 200,000 to me is high miles. As long as I know the maintenance history a lot of miles don’t really bother me.

I drove my 02’ 7.3 to 300k. Sold it to a buddy and he took it to 330k and he sold it. This was in 2012.

I saw the truck about 4 months ago on 35 and zarzamora. Looked like the day I sold it.

I can only imagine how many miles it had on it.

Those old diesels will run. Buddy has a 03’ 5.4 liter with 550k on it....the gas trucks ran good prior to 04’

I had a 2011 F-150 with a 5.0 that I traded off at 175k. It ran like it was brand new

If I kept it it would have 355k on it now...wonder how it would have held up? My guess would have been the suspension would have been beat to hell and possibly the tranny would have gone.

My 04 F150 had 340,000 miles when I traded it in. That was late 2017. My 2017 now has 43,000, and I hope to get 300,000 out of it. I did have to replace the tranny and timing chain system on my old truck around 180K, but it still had the original alternator, starter, AC, etc. 300,000 is my benchmark.

I think I'm at ~85k on my 2011.

My buddy is about to roll over 400k on his '11 f250. Deleted and a new turbo is all the big stuff he has done to it. Im sure its had the normal water pump alternator etc.

Uncle has a 1997 cummins with almost 500k on it. The front end has been done twice, the motor has not been opened.

You shouldn't be taking pics of your odometer when you're running 105mph. Just not safe. scared

The new ones won't run over 99 mph unless you delete it.

Me and my buddy have the exact same truck, same year, color, etc. his is deleted mine isn't.

Said he hit 153 mph in his.....that's insanely fast. I had an 07' mustang that we hit 145 mph in it one time I thought I was about to die....I can only imagine what 153 mph feels like in a Super Duty.

To be fair, 99 mph in my truck was pretty smooth though

When buying for resale I TRY to stay 130k and below. On certain models I will go higher.

Same tire ive had(or have) on three different hunting trucks. I never run em on highway hardly at all but would not expect them to be quite. You SHOULD be a stickler for rotating. Im not sure how they compare to others in mud but they are real tough when it comes to mesquite thorns, sharp rocks, stumps and other stuff I tend to run over with great regularity.
As far as hi mileage trucks- it didn't seem like Toyota was mentioned much-is it just known that they are so good that its not fair to lump in with other trucks?

Im going to call bs on the 153mph in a diesel. I’ve been over 160mph in a car built for those speeds, on a track designed for racing, and that was enough work to make me know that those speeds on the street are stupid and almost unobtainable in a lot of vehicles.

No way on 153 mph.

I hit 132 for about 5 miles in a 94 Caprice with a corvette engine.

I don’t doubt they have the power for 153 but mine is gear bound at 115 or so and actually well into the red at that. I will also say the newer trucks are way better than mine as far as road handling so maybe. Gears permitting. And hi-way tires.

153 in a truck would highly engage the pucker factor ... I've had my '09 Cummins (deleted) to 134 mph per GPS on I-10 between Sonora & Ozona and it was still climbing but the fact that the tires are only rated for around 100 mph made me decide to drop it back ...

back to high mileage ... I think back to the earlier days where I thought 100-120k was high mileage on a vehicle ... now days 200-225k

I don’t know....guy is a gear head with a Ford Mustang and a tuned 6.0 power stroke

I’ve known several guys with built Cummins who hit 140-145 mph and this was over 10 years ago.

At 99 my tack is at 2200 rpm or so.

My 7.3 was about 2800 rpm IIRC
