Why is that one so much bigger than most of the other 400 lb pigs shown ? Haha...........;) Because that one is ACTUALLY 400 lbs. and was put on a scale. Your average hog hunter is second only to Fisherman....in their willingness to 'embellish'. Hogs that wouldn't break 180lbs. are touted as being 300+ lbs.

Two large guys could not hardly move it , it would not fit in the back of the truck except head first and that took a while .

Just wanted to 'add' to it...since so many folks either out of ignorance or perhaps purposely.... claim their 200 lb. hogs are 400 pounder's. It's laughable. When an honest....350lb-400lb turns up..it is readily evident. I can appreciate that hogs in certain locales can and do grow quite large. But hogs in Texas (anywhere) rarely exceed 325lbs. I've been hunting them in Deep East Texas (good habitat) for about 30 yrs. now. I know everyone around me that hunts/traps them as well. I can count on one hand the number I've taken that actually scaled over 300 lbs. and have never taken anything approaching 400 lbs. That's not to say...they don't attain that weight (some places) but they are rare. Most hogs are never weighed or taped (heart girth measurement). Instead their weight is estimated. You start putting them on a scale and folks 'guesses' quickly become a surprise.
