I buy Exxon gas even though it isn't always convenient or the cheapest option. Vested interest.

An old bird dog friend retired from Exxon had 32,000 shares @ $4.00. We got a discount when he bought gas with his Exxon card.

The True Value Hardware store at the back of the square?

Yep, that’s the one. They used to have a dang good selection of guns and fishing gear years ago.

Duracell Batteries. I had a buddy that lost his home to Tornado, and less than 24 hours later, this dude rolls up passing out free batteries. "take whatever you need. Take some extra for your neighbors" is what the guy told him.

I cannot think of a single brand that I buy because of tradition. I will buy Leopold scopes and a few others things because they treated me right.
Auto Zone can go to heck.

I think Orielys must pay a little more. It seems the counter at autozone has minimum wage kids working most of the time who know nothing about cars at all. The oriely counter has people who can communicate and do basic problem solving. I actually quit doing business with Autozone when I put a 351C in a 69 F-100. They refused to sell me any parts because they couldn’t pull it up in the computer. If it’s not in the computer they don’t have it. Insert eye roll here.

I will always use the regular Hoppes No. 9. There may be better products now but ol' #9 works for most of my general cleaning.

Can't think of a more personal reason to stay loyal to a brand.

Try Ed's Red recipe. Awful cheap for one mix makes over a gallon. Hoppe's is $13 a pint.
Ed's Red about $25 a gallon when ingredients bought at Home Depot or about $3.50 for a pint

The list of products that I will never buy again is a lot longer than those I am loyal too. It's pretty rare that I give second changes to products once I have had a poor quality/poor support issue. That goes double for restaurants. If I leave pissed, I am done with them.

Those bands I am loyal to got on the list because personal experience has shown me they are better than other brands. I'm a cheap S O B, but I will pay for better quality when it counts.

i.e. Beretta is one of them. I wore out a part in the trigger group on my first AL-391. (I shot in both skeet and sporting sporting clay leagues with it, flew it to Cordoba once,) I don't track rounds, but it well over 25K, maybe close to 50K through it. It was 15 years old when I call Beretta trying to buy just the Carrier Lever and the pin that holds it. They guy was kind of incensed that I wanted just those parts, instead of a complete trigger group, but he said he would get me what I needed. He took my address and S# down, and hung up...an entire trigger group, plus the two individual parts, showed up FedEx 2nd day, at no charge, with a note that said "Use the new trigger group, fix the old one, and carry it as a spare."

We all need to practice Whoa more.

Unfortunately Berettas customer service doesn’t extend to all they own. My experience with them regarding Sako and Tikka has been horrid. That has been a few years back but they made that decision several times, basically telling me since I shoot left handed I do not represent a big enough market share for them to give a crap. For those that don’t know Sako and Tikka produce many rifles Beretta will not import. You can get them from Canada though.

It used to be Mrs Bairds Bread, but when they sold out, the quality started to go south to Mexico.

Tabasco - Because nothing tastes like Tabasco, especially on Scrambled Eggs and Chicken Fried Steaks chef

Duracell Batteries - The only ones that you can put in a game camera when it is 104 out and they wont start leaking goo.

Royal Crown Cola - One of the saddest days in my life was a few months ago walking into Rudy's BBQ and seeing the RC products on the soda machine replaced with effing Pepsi.

Everything else in life is negotiable.

Great story. Great picture. Great rig.

This is just a photo that I googled about the Duracell truck after my buddy told me about what happened. Evidently, they have a whole fleet of them spread out around the country. I used to buy Energizer, but since the Tornado, I have been loyal to Duracell.
