Battery went out unexpectedly this morning in my 17’ power stroke.
Went to Napa to get a reload and the guy said he has sold 30 batteries to super duty owners this past week.
Truck is comming up on 2 years old....if you own a 17 super duty, your batteries might be living on borrowed time
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Not just a 2017 problem; motorcraft badtrees suck. Switched to CAT agm and no problems since. You’ll also notice more corrosion on the drivers side terminals with the motorcraft.

That is usually status quo. Have been driving ford diesels for over 20 years. Replace two about every 2-3years.
It gets HOT in Texas.

NorthStar is the leader in AGM batteries. They will run you close to $700 a pair.

My wife's 7.3 burns through them.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

My wife's 7.3 burns through them. It’s probably the Delco starter they put on them lol.... When I had my 1995 7.3, I shut it down to order lunch at Chicken E, and the batteries quit right there in line. Luckily it was slightly down hill and i pushed it to the window, got my food and then pushed it out of the way.

Don't the batteries have a warranty? I don't think I would buy any vehicle that cost me $700 every two years. I don't remember spending $700 on any vehicle I ever owned.

My 2014 F350 went 4 years on the original set of batteries, I was impressed. I’d never gotten more than 2 years on a set in any diesel truck.

My "Gas" Super Duty only has One Battery. My gas Super Duty has two. And when they go, a pair of Odyssey AGMs will replace them.

They run on badassery Most trucks run on gas or diesel, not batteries. We just need them to turn the starter

My 2015 Tundra battery gave up the ghost in the Kerrville Lowe's parking lot a few weeks ago. It was the original battery. We were on the road, so we got it replaced at a repair shop close by for like 230.00, labor included. We had lunch next door while they worked on it. I did not have time to hang out with all the old farts trying to show everyone how smart they are at Walmart.
