Have fun. Looking forward to replies. Just local bobwhites for me.

I could go anywhere anytime, leave short notice, and for as long or short a trip as I want, so I am staying flexible with no plans. At least one run will likely be to Western Oklahoma. Much depends on bird reports, weather, and networking.

Definitely taking a trip in late-Dec to South Dakota for pheasant. Might squeeze in a trip up there in Nov too, kinda playing it by ear.

My son and I just got back from The Lodge at Chama in Chama NM. Hunted Grouse in the mornings and trout fished in the afternoons. Love this place, saw over a hundred Elk, some huge Mule deer bucks and six bears (2 blond ones).

Hoping the upland population is on the rebound here in Montana, grouse and hun's starting up soon, pheasant opens mid October. Last couple years bird population has been poor, would love to see it improve at least a small amount this fall, we shall see. I manage to keep my boy's active thru the summer, but with the cooler nights and day's shortening, they know what is coming...………. [Linked Image]

Yes it would be, good eye, second I have owned, I will always own a GWP, but the Munsterlander has a great nose and tracking ability, and they are such a gentle dog, just loves affection.
