Just saw an old man throwing out the game ball in the Astros game. He was in front of the mound. Josh Reddick was catching. It was better than some comedies I've seen, but still fell short of Reddick.

I'm not sure I would try. Would you?

That “old man” was NATURE BOY Rick Flair, Reddick’s wrestling idol. Rick is the reason you hear the WHOOO birds at home and away games.

I absolutely would, for the Astros or Rangers. I bet I could still hit the 80’s, without warming up. It would hurt, but I could pull it off.

I would. I can throw a heck of a change-up. That is, they think it's going to be somewhere around the plate but it isn't.

I detest baseball. I figure in this twisted world my son will wind up a baseball star because I cant stand it.

I'd see if someone would trade me a beer and hot dog for it and then leave early.

I'd stand on the rubber and throw a breaking ball just to see the oh-sheet look on the catchers face....

Allegedly with those ceremonial first pitches they actually don't use a regulation ball. They use one that's more like those t-ball ones that are softer.

This is a picture of my brother Glenn throwing out the first pitch at a Rangers game a few years back. He was an elite runner and cyclist doing competitions like Boston, Ledville 100, and a few iron mans until some nice lady t boned him on his bicycle while riding to work and then left him for dead.
He’s got a long road to go but I say if you have the opportunity to throw that pitch than do it.

I played growing up (1 yr of college) and now coach my son's 10U team. I threw about 150 pitches last night for batting practice. I would jump at the opportunity and would highly consider throwing my killer knuckle ball in hopes of being the next Charlie Hough!

I'd have to throw it from the rubber and I would pray that I wouldn't bounce it!!
