I have a Spin Tech feeder box with motor and timer but no solar panel. I do have a solar panel but there is no ID on it as to who made it and is it 6v or12v. Does it matter?
If I put a 12v battery in could that problems if the solar panel is actually a 6V?

Put that solar panel in the sun and measure the output with a volt meter. That will tell you what size it is. I have 2 Spintech feeders, 1 with 6volt that has the round enclosure while the newer 12 volt has the traditional box design.
