Too 25 now is simply a popularity contest, nothing more than teenage antics
Ever wonder why NFL doesn’t have a preseason too 25 ? Because they have a real method of determining their champion. It is not the popularity contest NCAA is...unfortunately the pre season too 25 has real ramifications on the end of season. While I think the current CFP format is vastly superior to the previous iterations of popularity contests, the fact the number 4 seed team has won the championship so many times tells us the committee still isn’t getting the best teams in there.we need to expand to 8 teams and then we will have a real champion and most of the grumbling will go away.

One of those years was 2018 when Bama was #4 but was pretty clearly the best team in country and should have been ranked #1 or #2. The thing that made them #4 was they were the last team to lose in the regular season. Three out of 6 years it has been the #1 and #2 seed in the championship. I think every year the best team has won. You don't think so?
