I'm guessing he would fair poorly in a fight?

But...he's got a good bottle opener on that one side.

ARs need to be suspended about once every five years to deal with bucks like that.

Can a game warden make an exception to the AR rule for a buck like this one?

Take Care,

I've been told yes under certain circumstances. (Considering age, photo records from previous years, etc...)

Maybe he will get in a fight and break his left beam off low. Then he will be unbranched! we had one last year that became a legal spike that way.

Legally, nope. They should be allowed to give passes for deer like this though.

I use to blame AR's, but the truth is its hunters that show no restraint that caused the need for AR's to begin with. But that's a can of worms that's been opened many times on this forum over the years. I promise you if you lifted AR's for one season it would set most AR counties back 5+ years with all the young deer that would bite the dust under the "cull" designation just so some hillbilly could kill it.

One strange looking set of antlers. If he is that way next year, bang.

Yup. Just talk to your GW and show him/her pics. Before we and the neighbors went mld, the neighbor had a buck similar. He talked to the GW and got a go-ahead.
