This has to be the tallest 4pt I have ever seen. I think he would make an interesting mount.

These 2 were on my hit list last year, being a 1 buck county, it was more of a need to get them out of the gene pool.

Absolutely. As the designated cull hitman he'd be #1 on the list.

Unfortunately, in my county, these would be off-limits. Look to narrow and not spikes. Would have to leave them be to pass on bad genetics.

We are also in a AR county and he is off limits. I've never seen a 4pt that tall.

I would if he was legal here at home but he would not be either since of the AR.

Some of y'all need to look into the MLD program. No antler restrictions that way.

When I was very young I drew a tag for Nevada with some friends. They had hunted their all their lives and knew the area well. Their dad had some of the best mule deer bucks you could eve imagine from there from the 60s and 70's before he passed away. I was determined to shoot a big 4x4 mule deer and knew this was the place to do it. The first day that we got to camp, I walked up a ridge and glassed up the mountain to see what was up there. Right away I spotted one of the biggest bucks of my life.

The next morning I was up several hours before daylight and climbing that mountain to get above where I had spotted him. At first light, there where deer all over the place heading up the mountain like I was. They fed in the alfalfa fields during the night and spent the day on the ridges. On the same ridge that I was on, a huge forked horn worked his way up towards me. He was outside his ears, heavy and tall. But he only had those 2 points on each side and in my youth, I wanted at least 4 on each side, and I had already seen several smaller 4x4's that morning and thought for sure that the big one was real close. I let that big forked horn walk past me at 50 yards, maybe a bit more, but close enough for an easy shot.

Three days later I saw that big 4x4 and took a shot that I shouldn't have. He was too far away and I rushed it. He took off and I never saw him again, or that big forked horn. I passed on small to fair bucks every day trying to find that big 4x4 again and never did.

That is one buck that I regret not taking.

You are 100% correct. Sadly that was a pic taken in late September

I wouldn’t, but would have one of my kiddos shoot it. We’re in a one buck county.

Is it just me, or is this a young deer with a trigger happy owner? I don’t want to get into the spike turned into a 180 at 7yo debate. Just my opinion

No doubt a younger deer, but for sure should be an 8 pt minimum

Respectfully, it's just you. He's old enough he shouldn't be just a 4 point with no brow tines. He needs to be culled.
