What do you expect the round count to be? I went to a match there about a month ago and fired 14 rounds.

A safe number round count will be around 50+- on this match . Each stage will have a max of 4 shots with 10 stages=40 rounds. We also will do a cold bore shot at the very beginning which could take 1 shot or 10. Lunch is included afterwards! prob fajitas.

Round count seems low for a tactical match

It’s actually a “precision match” hence the word precision over tactical, lol. So How many rounds would you like to have everyone shoot? I wasn’t aware there was a rule that I was suppose to follow for a “tactical match”. How many “tactical matches” have you shot in?

Most common tactical or practical type matches have 8-10rd stages with 80-100rd a day round counts as the norm.

up PRS Regional One Day matches must have a minimum of a 65 round count.

This not the norm and its far from a PRS event nor do i want it to be like one. If shooting 100 rds a match is your thing than there are plenty of matches out there for that. But i will tell you this> its going to be challenging and fun and guess what you don't have to reload as much- just saved you some time. There are going to be some really good shooters there as well. You also get to pick your targets at that yardage- if you think you can hit a 4" round target at 800yds with a 8mph crosswind with gusts to 13mph than go for it, if not than you still have the options of many other sized targets. Stages will be timed but mostly so everyone can shoot in a timely manner. I will have some raffle items as well to give away!

Sounds more like a hunting or bragging type event than anything with the info you posted. As a person that has to drive a decent ways to shoot a "match" round count is something that is always considered and low counts aren't very appealing for myself. Good luck with your event.

Excuses get you no where in life! Everyone has to drive that's part of it, i drove 1000s of miles tournament bass fishing with way more expenses but i never cried about it. I've learned some people will bitch about anything that doesn't go there way especially in competitive sports.
