So I went to check my feeder, cameras and refill only to find out the coons have learned to reach the motor. Evidently they got the motor cover off one eve and the next pulled my solar panel wires causing my battery to short out and the damn thing actually caught fire. Game camera captured it but I don’t know how to post pics. Anybody wanna help me get some pics on here?

You have to remember, they might not be drinking as much as we are.

Ahhhh, the coons. They have done a job on my feeders over the years. Not too long ago, prior to my ‘hardening’ the feeder, they absolutely destroyed my wiring and solar panel. It was a mostly plastic solar panel, and they reduced it to small bits of plastic. So...all metal solar panel, now attached with bolts, and all wiring in metal conduit and strong connection on each end. A few years now, and they have not beaten it.

And, a guy I know well, he shoots the coons on sight. To the coons: This town ain’t big enough for the both of us.

Not my monkeys, not my circus...
