What's your state's dog, sandwich and horse?

No peeking at Google now!

1. Blue Lacy. (I own one.) No clue on the other two, but I'll guess a Paint for the horse.

Blue Lacy, a new one on me. I thought it was the Black Mouth Cur, the Old Yeller dog with the "blue Texas heart".

Lone Star's official pony is the American Quarter Horse, pretty much a common four-legged vehicle of the cowboys all over the West.

Texas makes the BBQ Brisket it's official hunk of beef between FOUR, not two, slices of Texas toast.

Go to the tall tales forum if you want to run up your thread count. Some joker just posted 20 or more replies on there.

I'm going to guess:the TX state tree is the post oak

Don't know about the bird, wild turkey?

Mammal, armadillo?

I just saw one of these armored rats run across 38th street near the RR tracks in Lawton a couple mornings ago.

Pecan tree and mockingbird. I think you’re right on the armadillo, but I’m not sure.

Dink Dodger, are the baseball bats in Lewisville, Texas made of pecan or post oak?

I don't even know what wood is in the Louisville Sluggers of Kentucky or what

bats the Dodgers swing with, Mr. Dink.
