Im familiar with how they come about, Ive just never seen one that didnt have more of a curvature to the horns and retain the Gemsbok coloring that this one has. Either way, beast of a critter!

I knew there was a 40" in teh herd smile

The orange colored neck mane and alth not visible, absent of a dark tail patch are indications this is a gemsbok-scimtar cross thus a scimbok.

People have to realize that in hybrids it's not uncommon for offspring to have characteristics largely of one side or the other especially in earlier generations. I believe that it takes about 5 to 7 generations to consistently breed true.
