One of my hunters sent the pic his taxidermist sent of his mount that is in progress. He is the top deer on the wall - 19 points and 200 inches even and taken this season - we watched him for a number of years - should end up being a beautiful mount

cheers Going to be a great mount. I made a pedestal base out of barnwood for one of bucks from last year that look like the base in front that 200" buck.

It might take a little while to decide which of those was bigger but I think I would shoot whichever one the crosshairs settled on(if they ever settled) and call it good.

curious what yall think the other buck would score. Side by side should be easy to compare. Actually the front buck being that little bit closer could throw ya off a little.

Quick and dirty I got 179 but there may be some hidden inches there that I missed (2nd buck).

Comparing the two-- I cant see the left side well of the top deer but both look real close to main frame typ 12s. Top deer may have a little on spread but bottom may have a hair more beam. Mass is close. Top may have him on tine length but bottoms got him on brow so its close. Hard to tell what going on with the left side of top deer but I get about 14' extra nontyp so im saying that's about the diff in the two. 200 - 14 and ill give the top a little edge here and there and call the bottom 184. I really never ran any individual numbers I just assume the top was 200 and compared from that base line. As I reconsider the top may have more plus on tine length so maybe lower 180s. Its always so hard but its really fun trying. Actually a couple really good angles to go by. Top could of been turned slightly to left and nose down would of helped a little. That's how I would of positioned him for a field photo. Fun stuff and truly great deer.

Did he bust off the droppers or did they not come in the following years?
