Does anyone use Gator Waders? How’s your experience been with them? The boot sole looks like it has more traction than the banded. My banded’s were super comfortable but I’ll be damned if I buy banded anything again.

I started using them last year. I have the un insulated breathables for warmer hunts and the insulated breathables for colder weather. I put a small hole in my un insulated ones and the patch kit you get with them is great and I fixed them up no problem. You use an iron and heat, not glue. The insulated pair did leak in the crotch and when the season was done gator waders replaced them no problem. The boots this year look like an upgrade from last years. They are very comfy and well thought out design. I really like the weight compared to neoprene. I never got cold last year which was my concern switching from neoprene.

I prefer breathable and just layer up when cold
Neoprene just take too long to dry when you hunt day in, day out

I’m going with the Gators. I’m just gonna drive over to Tyler and get them. I need to go pretty quick because I’m heading to Alaska the end of August.

I've been wearing gator waders for the past 2 seasons. Love the comfort level. My only complaint, I wish the soles were a heavy lug sole with deep tread. Theses are a bit slippery for walkins dow nin the marsh. For out in the lake or timber they are excellent

Stickin' gills and Stackin' bills

In a world of compromise..... some dont....

I drove to Tyler and bought them on Friday.. they’re much better quality than the banded’s. 1 year warranty etc. The boot sole traction is the best I’ve ever seen, tax and all $385 out the door... but get this, I got home yesterday and there’s a large package at the door. It’s from Gator Waders. I open it up and it’s the same waders I purchased on Friday. Same size, pattern everything... called this morning and they processed my order as a return. They were pretty thankful that I called, reassured them that there are honest folks in the world. Super nice folks too. They’re in the process of moving warehouses and I’m sure things were hectic. They sent me a UPS label to ship back.
