It is a slightly sweet, slightly hot with a bit of “tangy” taste. I use the Tryme brand found in the condiment isle.
I have done this recipe with bamboo skewers of marinaded venison at parties and get a lot of compliments from folks that have not had venison before. I use cubed blackstrap when doing venison.
The key is to make sure you don’t over cook the meat. The Traeger excels at temp control and being able to cook to desired doneness. I used the “Competition Blend” pellets for this cook.
Another trick I learned and love is to marinade fresh shrimp in a bit of the liquid Louisiana shrimp boil seasoning before grilling for a bit of extra flavor.
