My suburban has running boards. My Vizsla Dash would love this. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2019/07/full-1680-194576-65929034_10219411745345715_8266593240455577600_n.jpg)

My dad would give our dog Rocket rides on the running board of his 1915 Dodge touring. She loved it.

OK, but we need a quick deploy method to launch the dogs the moment a covey is spotted or one of them gets birdie.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

A hunting buddy that has since move one to higher hunting grounds used to have a GPS that rode in the back of the pickup and would launch over the side if he winded birds. He seemed to have no concept of speed, or what would happen when he hit the ground. Don forget to chain him on way back to the house one evening and he fired off while we were doing about 40 down a gravel road. It was a wonder he did not kill himself. We look back and he is bounding back the way we came, on only three legs. He'd lockup up before we could start to back the truck up. Luckily he was good to go again in a couple of weeks.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill
