I hear ya. Drove up to a feeder a few weeks back and saw a young one scamper up the tree nearby. Had him in my sights...let him go. I'll shoot him when he gets bigger.

No doubt, I had to rethink about the length of that chain for a second!

Nasty little thing! But also cute. I can't bring myself to kill babies either.

I let so many things pass once I got in my 40s.

Here a two I passed on the last year.

Big fat raccoon sleeping in a fork of a tree about 3 feet off the ground. I waked within 2 feet of him carry a 12 guage loaded with buck shot. Had no desire kill him. He looked very peaceful so I went in for a picture instead.

Deer hunting last year I had a young bobcat walk almost right in to my pop up blind. I kept taking his picture and he kept looking in try to figure out what I was. I kept trying to shoo him away. He just walked bak in forth about 8 feet in front of my stand.

I would have done the same thing. I don't kill Ringtails either. A bout with cancer will give you a different perspective on life!

Nothing wrong with letting him go. I don’t kill babies either.

I’m just not that mad at them.
