For the ones with fig trees. What do you do with them? Have a good abundance of them this year.

I like eating them whole...makes a good home made vanilla/Fig ice cream...

Make fig preserves...

Also can cook them down for a glaze on grilled chicken or fish...

Fig preserves are great. I like them right off the tree.

I've used several fresh fruits as the bottom layer of a dump cake. Stew them up with sugar, then top them with cherry pie filling, cake mix, and go from there.

My fig tree had bumper crop also. We have used more than 2 gallons, gave my brother more than 2 gallons, and neighbor about 1 gallon, and my niece about 1 gallon. My niece said may want more Wed. or Thur.
My wife. has caned over 6 pints and made fig cake, very delicious. I am going to have a lot if the rest mature.

Google "freezing fresh figs", then use as needed.

grew up with several massive fig trees in our backyard. Ate thousands straight off the tree but my parents used to make fig jam but used strawberry jello instead of sure-jell and it was hard to tell the difference from strawberry jam, only real difference was size of the seeds.

Fig preserves with Jello for flavor.
Look up recipes for strawberry/jalapeño jelly.

My personal favorite is a mix of orange and lemon. Cot up a lemon or two and add to the mix. Very similar to marmalade.
