After a few months dry spell, the hogs have returned to our place as they always do. I built a new 22" diameter round coon cage on the feeder recently so I set the game cam to video to watch as the frustrated coons try to reach in to spin the feeder. The cage seemed to work, few coons on the video, but also got some good video of hogs coming and going every day over the last 10 days. This includes a 3 leg bore that seems to show up each morning just before 7:15am when the feeder goes off.

Very cool videos!

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

You would be surprised how fast and mobile they remain with just 3 legs. Have seen this several times. They 'hobble' along when at walking speed..but can still manage a mad dash for safety when needed...for quite a distance.

Cool video. Thanks for sharing. So what do you think has opened to him? I know you have no idea with any certainty but just interested in opinions and theories

I like to think I'm responsible for the missing leg, but that would also make be a lousy shot.

Ol' Tripod looks kind of gimpy but he's certainly not missing any meals!

I shot a real gimpy boar at start of the year, he looked real skinny in the thermal. When I went to drag him off, he had the biggest head and best cutters on one I've seen, made his head detachable and made a Euro out of him.

Good luck!
