Unusual amount of chicks running with the adults. Really heavy Broom weed crop gives them allot of cover. I've got 3/4 grown juveniles and thumb size chicks.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Blues or bobs?

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

The rain has been really good. I've seen reports of from 12-20 inches of rain in April thru June. Hopefully a wide swath of the rolling plains has had a decent to good hatch.. Here's hoping...

Aspermont reported the 20+ Apr-Jun.

We are hearing them all over the ranch.

The coveys we have seen have juvenile birds in them.
