 Duck school north Texas recommendation

I’m looking for a new duck school for my pup. The catch is I’d like it to have AC kennels since it’s summertime and he is a Chesapeake. Dog has been at mad river for 6 weeks but it’s just not working out. He’s gained at least 15 pounds and is FAT. Doesn’t appear to have been worked much. Seems to have digressed in training from where I had him. Love to hear suggestions.

Texas Duck Dogs/Wade Cashion seems to do well. He has amazing grounds to train on outside Valley View. Next to Robby's place that gets on here frequently.

JC did well with my CBR. I don’t believe his kennels have AC though....just vented with fans.

That's surprising to hear of Mad River. I've personally experienced and heard nothing but great things from them.

I can’t believe some people keep dogs outside in this kind of heat. It should be against the law especially for a Chesapeake. I would shoot for someone that has air conditioned training facilities as well. Fetching in 70F is much more pleasant and shouldn’t cause any unnecessary strain on the dog. Good luck on being a dog man.

Yes I had too and I’m not hear to bash but for all the good things they sure didn’t have many dogs to train.

I don’t mind my dogs coming in the house and even spending the night every now and then. I think a working dog that had spent all summer under the air conditioning would be like the fat kid the first day of football practice come September first.

I know for a fact the that Marks A lot does a lot with chessies. I have no personal experience but have heard good things.

I know for a fact the that Marks A lot does a lot with chessies. I have no personal experience but have heard good things. They are great. Have a good buddy that does a lot with him and my dad just bought a started dog from him.
